Eden Studio is not only a retailer but also a carpet and rug manufacturer with 24+ years of experience. Our founder developed a unique tufting machine that makes the best quality products, lasting for years. Eden Studio specialise in creating bespoke rugs and carpet so everything is made to order, in New Zealand, and according to your specifications and expectations. Unlike with standard carpet retailers, you can choose your size, colour, shape and design.

Once a deposit is paid, our current lead times are approx. 10-12 weeks for every new rug order and 14-16 weeks for new carpet orders. If you need your rug/carpet sooner, please get in touch as there is a possibility to upgrade to our express shipping for a shorter lead time.
Eden Studio wool rugs are durable products that are easy to clean. You can view our care guide here. If you are looking for extra protection, we offer Microseal spraying. This adds a light invisible coating to the surface of the rug that penetrates deep into each fibre. This is highly recommended for rugs containing cellulose (linen) & semi-synthetic fibres (nylon, bamboo) as well as for light-coloured wool rugs.
We ship worldwide and offer door-to-door delivery. The shipping costs depend on the size of the rug/carpet and your location. Overseas buyers are required to pay taxes and duties calculated on the entry to their country. A freight quote can be done at the time of enquiry.
We are based in Christchurch, New Zealand where all the products are designed and made. We also have a showroom that you are welcome to visit and browse through all the different styles, finishes and colours. Alternatively, we can send samples to your home address anywhere in the world.
Most of our rugs are made of 100% New Zealand wool, a great natural fibre with unique qualities. The wool yarns that we use range from fine carpet yarns to felted wool yarns in different weights and thicknesses. We also use other fibres such as Mulberry Silk, bamboo, nylon or linen. These can be used individually or blended with other fibres.
We have a colour folder containing a collection of standard 140 colours, all dyed on wool. The digital version of this is available to view here. To ensure complete satisfaction with colour, we recommend asking for colour samples once you have decided on the style and type of yarn used for the rug – as this influences the colour. We are also able to custom dye to any specific colour. If you struggle with the colour choice, we are more than happy to help.
We normally do not hold many rugs in stock as they are manufactured to order. However, you can visit our shop page for a limited number of rugs available. These are the only rugs that you can purchase straightaway, everything else is custom-made.
You are not limited to specific sizes or shapes. Pick any style or design your own rug and we make it the size and shape you want.
