Sunburst

Sunburst is a bespoke round rug crafted from 100% New Zealand wool, available in your chosen colour. Created using our specialised 3D Texturing technique, it represents Eden Studio’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of tufting and surface design.

The concept was driven by a desire to achieve genuine sculptural depth in cut pile — a far more complex process than loop pile construction. The design was first developed in vector-based software and then translated into a precise CNC tufting programme. Through extensive testing, we refined the system so that pile heights respond directly to the digital artwork, creating layered lines and dynamic relief across the surface. The result is a striking three-dimensional composition underfoot.

To complete the piece, the rug is expertly sheared and hand-carved using a custom in-house modified carving machine.
